New security measures.

I think the thing that scared me most about Jim’s fall the other day was that I was only 20 feet away and didn’t know there was a problem.

Even though I was on the same floor as him, the vibration of his fall didn’t reach me out on the deck. Until this point, I always assumed it would.

This leaves me in a bit of a dilemma. As I walked through my house, I really paid attention to the cameras I have set up, assuming they’d show any problems.  The camera in the living room looks at the head of the stairs and over the dining room table. It wouldn’t have shown Jim on the floor.

This isn’t good because he spends a lot of time in that chair when I’m running errands.

So, I ordered two more of the indoor cameras. I’ll set them up to give me a better view of the living room and dining room and then the other at the foot of the stairs leading to the ground floor.

That should give me better coverage to monitor him when I have to go out.

Bonus, if we’re ever burglarized,  there are cameras all over the freaking house. Smile!!
