We’re getting down to the wire.
- 1 sleep until the cleaner comes in to do a deep clean of the kitchen and bathrooms
- 3 sleeps until the carpet cleaners arrive
- 5 sleeps until the staging people reorganize what’s left of our furniture to make the house look enticing
- 7 sleeps until our house is photographed like a sexy model
- 12 sleeps until the for sale sign is planted on our lawn
- 14 sleeps until we fly across the country, while people view and then hopefully make an offer, in the hopes to buy our house
- 15 sleeps, I’ll finally be able to hug my mother and get the in-person family support I desperately need as I continue on this journey with Jim
Jim has been fantastic all this week. He can’t remember anything, but he’s invested in making sure our move goes smoothly. He watches the front window like a hawk, even though he’s not sure what he’s looking for.
This is helpful one two levels, it give me space to do what needs to be done and Jim’s new habit of standing all day has increased the blood flow to his toes, which promotes healing. The wound on his foot hasn’t looked this good since last summer. It feels like a win when two weeks ago I was ready to curl into a ball and sob.
