It’s okay to be sad after all your life is being dismantled one brick at a time. Some days bricks are put back in place and it gives you a false sense of hope, only to have it ripped away again, when the next day when it’s two bricks gone instead of just one.
It’s okay to be sad
They call it anticipatory grief. Grieving for the loss of the person even though they’re standing right there in front of you. This happens with most terminal illnesses. Sometimes it’s a blessing because it gives you time to get your affairs in order and say your goodbyes, but when the decline is prolonged over years, it’s a curse
So yeah it’s okay to be sad, allow yourself to grieve.
